Profit Yacht | Yacht Rental Program
How do you know if your catamaran’s charter program is on track to meet its seasonal revenue targets? With Profit Yacht’s Yacht Rental Program (YRP), Charter Companies and Yacht Owners can set the expected rental plan, monitor performance throughout the season, and identify the days and revenue still needed to reach the agreed business objectives.
Have you ever wondered how to know whether renting out your catamaran is actually profitable?
Here’s how our YRP (Yacht Rental Program) helps Charter Companies and Yacht Owners establish a professional relationship around the rental program of a vessel.Yacht owners are no longer simply buying catamarans — they are buying business models. In other words, investment plans based on renting out their vessel when they are not using it.Catamarans are, today, one of the preferred platforms in the charter market.
With Profit Yacht, you can not only manage all bookings and day-to-day operations, but also monitor whether the agreed rental income is actually being achieved throughout the season.
Let’s take an example.Carlos is the new owner of a 52 ft catamaran in Mallorca. He decides to use it with his family for 3 weeks, between June and July. For the rest of the season, he hands over the commercial operation of the catamaran to CatCharter.
As part of the business plan, both parties agree that the Charter Company will aim to secure 60 rental days between June and September.
Based on this plan, they estimate an 11% return, generating approximately €180,000 in rental revenue. Therefore, the target average daily rate for these rental days is €3,000 per day.

With Profit Yacht’s Yacht Rental Program, it is very easy to upload the seasonal Business Plan.
By setting the rental forecast, the system knows which days need to be booked and what revenue the Charter Company needs to generate to achieve its profitability targets. This occupancy and revenue forecast becomes the roadmap for meeting the objectives agreed with the yacht owner.
Why did we create YRP? This rental planning helps the Charter Company meet its commitments to the yacht owner. Profit Yacht can analyse whether actual bookings are meeting the planned targets. When they are not, the system identifies the days and availabilities that have not yet reached the agreed revenue targets. This allows the Charter Company to focus its commercial efforts on recovering the revenue forecast, concentrating on the days that have not yet been booked. With Profit Yacht, it is possible to see in a single click how many days are “green” and how many are “red”, providing an immediate overview of whether the season is developing according to plan.
YRP + Revenue Management
But the reason we created YRP goes beyond seasonal planning. In a second phase of development, Profit Yacht will incorporate RMS (Revenue Management System) tools to help maximise revenue from the days that have not yet been booked.
The goal is to avoid unnecessarily reducing the price of unbooked rentals, as applying discounts without a clear strategy can result in a significant loss of profit. Some of the tools we plan to incorporate into the RMS include:
Dynamic Pricing
Last-Minute Deals
Competition Analysis
Hospitality Data
New Market Opportunities
Dual-Hemisphere Demand
AI-powered promotions with ChatGPT & Claude
YRP vs. Financial Plan
It is important to remember that YRP is a seasonal planning and forecasting tool. Its purpose is to establish the expected revenue and occupancy levels for the season.
To analyse what is actually happening in the Charter business on a day-to-day basis, we use the Financial Plan. The Financial Plan represents the actual execution of the business, comparing real revenue and expenses against the forecasts established in the Business Plan.
In other words:
Yacht Rental Program = What do we expect to achieve?
Financial Plan = What are we actually achieving?
Together, these tools give yacht owners and Charter Companies a complete view of the business — from the initial seasonal forecast to its actual financial performance.
